The Leader

The Leader is a tiny Asian man with long white hair tied in a topknot, a Fu Manchu mustache, and a bent and hobbling appearance. He dresses like a poor monk. He is also a highly powerful physical adept and leader of the Black Lotus ninja Clan of Hokkaido. Privately he believes that the strict racial divisions which exist within the ninja are antiquated and having metahumans would be very useful to the goals of the clan, but knows full well that to say so would be to risk a ninja war with the other clans. He occasionally sends promising young ninja against his former star pupil, now known as Gojira, for training exercises. While these have yet to be lethal, several ninja have come back somewhat dented. Sometimes the leader warns Gojira beforehand, if the lesson to be taught is one of humility. This contact is tenuous and secretive, and sometimes he also trades information with his former pupil. He suspects Gojira’s parents were themselves Oni who left their child with the ninja prior to being deported to Yumi island.
